Congleton Solicitors Spall Clark Solicitors turn six today

Our Beginnings

Spall Clark Solicitors was founded by STEP qualifed solicitor Paul Clark TEP as a specialist private client practice. His vision was to create a firm that provided high quality legal advice in plain English. The firm started on 25 September 2019, around six months before Covid hit. Despite the challenges of Covid, the firm quickly became a success.

Today

Led by Paul Clark and Becky Spall, and supported by Melissa Howman, Natasha Yelland and Court of Protection specialist Simon Heapy, Spall Clark continues to grow. Each team member brings unique strengths, helping us deliver on our promise to provide the highest quality legal advice with a client focussed approach.

Celebrating Milestones

Today, we celebrate not just our sixth birthday, but the many milestones we’ve reached during the past six years including acting for many clients, supporting many charitable organisations and our local community.

Congleton Dementia Friends

We’re proud to support Congleton Dementia Friends, an initiative that raises awareness and provides resources for those affected by dementia. Their work aligns perfectly with our values of compassion and community care.

No Tier Snooker Society

The society meets every Wedndesday at Congleton Snooker Club and provides a welcoming environment for those living with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) or early-onset dementia.

Ruby’s Fund is another organisation close to our hearts. Their commitment to supporting children with additional needs and their families has inspired us to contribute in meaningful ways.

Award nominations

We are very proud that this year we have received three award nominations at two of the most prestigious awards in this area of law.

STEP Private Client Awards

Natasha Yelland was named as a finalist for Rising Star (Legal). The awards are open globally to both STEP members and non-members and are seen as the benchmark of quality in the profession. The team celebrated Natasha’s nomination at the awards evening which took place on 18 September at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

British Wills and Probate Awards

Paul Clark was shortlisted as the Private Client Practitioner of the Year and Natasha Yelland was shortlisted as One to Watch Practitioner of the Year. The British Wills and Probate Awards are amongst the most prestigious in the country.

Supporting clients

As the business has developed, Paul’s role has moved from ‘hands on’ to a more managerial role. He still acts in cases which require his specialist knowledge, such as cross border cases, and his day to day focus is now on developing the business and supporting staff achieve the high standards he sets.

Melissa, Natasha and Simon will still meet with clients.
