Specialist legal advice for professionals

We have extensive experience in helping professionals with personal legal matters. Our solicitors Paul Clark and Natasha Yelland advise on matters such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and trusts. We help individual and families from all professional backgrounds including regulated and non-regulated professionals. We have advised may solicitors including partners of leading law firms. We are based in Congleton and mainly act for clients in Cheshire and Greater Manchester but we have acted for clients from many parts of England and some of our clients are based abroad.

Our approach

The professional world is often a small one and we understand that confidentiality is key. We offer a confidential, discrete and personalised service. If you prefer to meet away from our office, we can meet you at your home, online or any other location to suit you.

We understand that relationships are very important and you will be allocated your own solicitor who will work with you to guide you through the legal process. Where possible, they will also act for you whenever you instruct Spall Clark Solicitors.

We offer a pragmatic, plain speaking approach and deliver our advice in plain English. Our approach is to keep matters as simple as possible while ensuring that your wishes are met and all risks have been taken into account.

How we can help

We can help with personal legal matters such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. We offer an integrated approach between ourselves and other professions (such as accountants and financial advisors) which is particularly beneficial when advising professionals who are owners and managers of their own businesses.

As successful professionals who have established their own successful business, we understand the need to consider regulatory matters when delivering legal advice. Certain professionals such as the legal and medical profession are regulated which means that extra care must be taken when preparing certain legal documents such as Lasting Powers of Attorney as regulations mean there are restrictions on who can be appointed as attorney for example they may need to hold a specific qualification.

Professions we help

We are able to help all professionals and we have highlighted some of the professions where we have particular expertise.

Authors, artists and creatives

Complex matters such as copyright and intellectual property play an important part when providing advice and must be understood to provide the correct advice. Paul Clark has experience of advising local artists and authors about Wills and how to pass on rights relating to their works.

Doctors and medical professionals

We act for a large number of doctors and nurses.  We work closely with financial advisors who specialise in providing financial advice to medical professionals and their families.

We have acted for financial advisors who own and run their own business and we are well placed to provide advice about personal matters such as wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

We have many clients from the tech industry, from individuals to successful business owners. We advise on personal legal matters such as protecting digital assets including cryptocurrency as well as Wills.
