About us

We are a specialist legal practice, committed to providing the highest quality legal advice delivered in plain English. We act as trusted advisors to individuals and families from Cheshire and Greater Manchester to across Europe and beyond.

Our size ensures that you are at the centre of everything we do. We are great believers in taking time to listen to you and understand your legal problems. We offer a no charge initial meeting during which you can explain your legal problems and ask any questions you may have without any time pressure. In an ever connected world, privacy is increasingly important and we guarantee you absolute confidentiality in all your dealings with us.

We are modern lawyers with traditional values. We strongly believe in providing the highest level of service and client care. One of the ways we do this is by giving our advice in plain English and avoiding legal jargon wherever possible.

We are more than just solicitors, we are trusted advisers to whom you can turn for support. We always strive to achieve the best result for our clients.

We often work with other professionals to provide integrated advice which is far more effective than visiting differently professionals separately.

We believe that great communication is the foundation of a good relationship. This is why you will be given the direct dial number of your solicitor so you can contact them directly rather than having to go through receptionists or ‘gatekeepers’.

We understand that your time is precious. We will come to visit you at home or your office at a time to suit you. If you prefer you can meet us at our office in Congleton, Cheshire or online via Microsoft Teams. We will handle your matters with care and sensitivity as we navigate you through the legal landscape.

As a specialist legal practice, we focus solely on providing legal advice to individuals and families.

Our managing director and solicitor Paul Clark is an experienced solicitor and has been awarded TEP status by STEP. STEP is the leading global professional association for legal practitioners who specialise in this area of law. Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience. Paul is also a member of the Law Society Private Client Section advisory committee.

Simon Heapy is a highly respected solicitor and has previously been named in Chambers and Partners as a leading individual in Court of Protection work.

Natasha Yelland is a solicitor with a particular interest in advising vulnerable and elderly clients. She has completed a Masters in Legal Practice with a focus on testamentary capacity and is a Dementia Friend with the Alzheimer’s Society.

We strongly believe in the importance of local community and we are actively engaged in supporting local groups in the local area such as Beartown Rickshaw, Congleton Dementia Friends and Congleton Tennis Club.

We are committed to supporting our environment by limiting the environmental impact of our business. This is why we made the decision to become a ‘paper light’ office. Our correspondence is recorded electronically and we do not take paper copies for physical files. We avoid using paper notepads wherever possible and instead take notes electronically.

Although we are required to keep paper versions of certain documents such as Wills, LPAs and Trust deeds, we limit our paper usage wherever possible and we have significantly reduced our environmental footprint. We consider ourselves to be ethical solicitors and we often work with financial advisors who can offer ethical investments which do not contribute to environmental damage such as deforestation.
