Solicitor
Melissa is a private client solicitor with a particular focus on probate and estate administration. She was shortlisted for ‘Probate Lawyer of the Year’ at the Probate Industry Awards 2026. Melissa has worked in the legal profession for over 11 years and has specialised predominantly in Private Client over the past 5 years. Melissa also has experience in other areas of practice including Litigation, Employment Law and Landlord and Tenant.
Melissa studied for her Law degree at the University of Liverpool before going on to complete her LPC part time at the University of Law (Chester) whilst also training to become a Solicitor.
Melissa is an accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly known as Solicitors for the Elderly) which is an independent, national organisation of lawyers from across the UK who provide specialist legal advice for people planning for the future. She is also an affiliate member of STEP and is working towards becoming a full member in the near future. Melissa is a Dementia Friend with the Alzheimer’s Society.
Melissa has a particular interest in guiding clients through the probate process with clarity and care. She understands the emotional challenges families often face and is valued for explaining matters clearly, setting out options thoughtfully and providing reassurance throughout.
Melissa grew up in Weaverham, Cheshire and now lives in Winsford with her husband, children and two dogs Gizmo and Meeko.
