Spall Clark Solicitors welcomes Melissa Howman
Spall Clark Solicitors is delighted to announce the recent addition of Private Client Solicitor, Melissa Howman to its specialist team. Melissa advises clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration.
About Melissa
Melissa studied for her Law degree at the University of Liverpool before going on to complete her LPC part time at the University of Law (Chester) whilst also training to become a Solicitor.
Melissa’s first legal position in a law firm was as a Private Client Paralegal in Cheshire. She has been working in the legal profession for over 11 years and has specialised predominantly Private Client matter over the last 5 years. Melissa also has experience in other areas of practice including Litigation, Employment Law and Landlord and Tenant.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, Melissa has built on her experience across a wide range of Private Client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate. She particularly values the personal connection that comes from meeting clients face to face and guiding them through often sensitive and complex issues.
Future plans
Melissa is looking forward to progressing in her role at Spall Clark Solicitors and is planning to become a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) through The Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) – a global professional body for specialist practitioners that help individuals and families plan for the future.

Joining Spall Clark
Melissa joined our specialist private client practice on 1 July 2025 and works closely with Paul ClarkTEP and Natasha Yelland.

Outside of work
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys attending concerts and spending time with her family and two dogs called Meeko and Gizmo.
